Spider Web

I was thinking about my hanging diagram and also about how most animals build homes for function, not beauty (with the exception of the Bower Bird). But the functional home ultimately embodies an inherent beauty which is something I would like to emulate. Also, the nests, burrows and webs these animals build are generally a result of a focused, methodical process of repition and often built with materials that are weak as individuals but very strong once they are employed in the building process. For example, this spider web. It reminds me of my menu diagram and also how the laborious process for creating a home and a place to catch food can be so beautiful.
