Go back to First diagram which is related to the movie "Being John Malkovich"
Focus on forgotten and hidden space in 7 1/2 floor.
Sun diagram and light study will be used for one of elements to present hidden and forgotten space.
I'm going to draw effective diagram related between movie "Being John Malkovich" and hostel.
And do light study at my site.
I think my site facade is only 20' so it is good way to design as forgotten space in time square.

so your drawing could express how the light may move across a surface...through a volume...
material is necessary to catch light? what is it?
i would consider the large public space for this...
perhaps you should look at how your performative techniques are addressed in the film...however i think your definitions here are weak...

what is being 'hidden?' how?
are you hiding something in this hostel?

maybe something else though...
as you say in your book...something curious...
is this what has been forgotten?
does it have to do with the:
-history of the site? (duration=years)
-the history of travelers? (duration=a night-a few days)
-history of sun travel?(duration=daily vs seasonal)
-other?
regarding your book...lose the graphics (circles and icon)...
they are distracting.
